Preparing for Permanency

Come meet others who are waiting for or considering adopting children from the New Brunswick child protection system.

Your host, Jessica, a parent, kinship caregiver and adoption support network coordinator, will be happy to share her experience, answer your questions, and support you throughout your adoption journey.

Monthly meetings will include:  

• Stories from adoptive parents, foster parents, and professionals.

• Conversations with youth, foster parents, adopted individuals, and social workers. 

• Helpful information to prepare you for welcoming your child and understanding the complexities of adoption.

• Time for informal discussions and Q&A.

This meeting is a unique opportunity to

• Find support from others who are going through or have gone through the same situation as you. 

• Get answers to your questions and clear up any doubts.

• Feel less alone in this wonderful journey.
