CREATIVE ART THERAPY RETREAT
FOR ADOPTED TEENS | TEENS IN KINSHIP CARE | TEENS IN FOSTER CARE

The Healing Hearts through Art Creative Therapy Retreat is a free program for adopted teens and teens in kinship or foster care, organized by the New Brunswick Adoption Foundation. This event offers a safe and welcoming space where young people aged 13 to 18 can explore their feelings through art, with help from caring therapists. Teens will also get to meet others who understand their experiences, make new friends, and learn helpful ways to cope

ELIGIBILITY
Open to teens aged 13-18 who have been adopted, are in kinship care or foster care and living at home with their primary caregiver.

TEEN PROGRAMMING INCLUDES

• Emotional Expression through art

• Safe & supportive Peer Connections

• Guided Emotional Growth

• Practical Coping Skills

• Exposure to Indigenous practices and culture

• Monthly online group art therapy sessions offering ongoing support
   

PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS
While teens are engaged in activities, parents are invited to join us for a day of rest and relaxation at the Red Bank Lodge, just a short walk away. This is a chance to enjoy a worry-free day while teens benefits from the art therapy session. You can connect with other parents and caregivers who understand your unique experience, share conversations, or simply enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings. Lunch and snacks will be provided, allowing you to relax and recharge.
